Recent Certification Represents the Fifth WDSrx Facility Meeting Strict Regulatory Requirements For Patient Safety
The pharmaceutical supply chain in the United States is among the safest in the world due to strict administration of policies set by government and requirements established by other regulatory authorities.
The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy recently approved the warehouse and operations of the WDSrx – Woodfield Distribution, LLC facility in Lockbourne, Ohio for their VAWD (Verified-Accredited Wholesale Distributors) program accreditation, recognizing compliance with laws and regulations designed to assure patient safety as medications are stored and moved within the supply chain.
Verified annually and re-certified every three years, VAWD accreditation is a reflection of the dedicated WDSrx team at Lockbourne, Ohio which serves pharmaceutical manufacturers and their trading partners in the Columbus, Ohio region and destinations around the country. Additional capabilities added recently at the 72,000 square foot warehouse including pick, pack and ship of Direct-t0-Consumer (DTC) personal care products.
The Ohio facility is the fifth VAWD-accredited WDSrx warehouse joining locations in Florida, Texas and New Jersey.
According to WDSrx President Adam Runsdorf, “Every member of the WDSrx team understands their important role within the pharmaceutical supply chain. We are honored to receive another VAWD certification that reflects our company commitment to best distribution practices assuring patient safety.”
