April 3, 2017 – Chicago, IL — The supply chain industry’s leading innovators in manufacturing, distribution, equipment and systems converged April 3-6 at McCormick Place in Chicago for the annual Promat show.
The show presented an opportunity for WDSrx to meet with a targeted group of the over 950 exhibiting companies for ideas to increase efficiency within our pharmaceutical distribution centers in Boca Raton, FL and in Sugar Land, TX.
Logistics Manager Oliver Razz checked many objectives off his list in the search for innovative healthcare supply chain solutions to respond to client demands and address increased flow-through of pharmaceutical drug products.
An important priority was meeting with current vendors to learn about new developments and to share feedback about product performance. Time was also devoted to gathering insights for specific warehouse capabilities including carousels and conveyors, cold chain innovations, shipment tracking, racks and containers, sustainable packaging options and automated boxing solutions.
The show provided opportunities for professional development as well. Keynote speakers included entertainer Dana Carvey and Earvin “Magic” Johnson. Johnson gave an inspired address to a full house explaining his strategy for accomplishing goals that served him during personal trials and during his Hall of Fame basketball career and currently as a successful entrepreneur and NBA executive.
WDSrx attends ProMat and select other general industry-related shows such as the Warehouse Education and Resource Council (WERC) Conference with the mission of pursuing practical solutions that increase efficiency and reduce costs within the pharmaceutical supply chain.
