With over 200 current healthcare customers, WDSrx serves manufacturers of prescription and over-the-counter medications, medical devices, dietary supplements, nutritional foods, animal health, personal care products, and specialty chemicals.
Established in March 2010 by current President Adam Runsdorf, WDSrx began operations as a pharmaceutical logistics firm in Boca Raton, Florida with a 48,000 square foot warehouse that remains our headquarters building. The small company that started with a single client and facility grew quickly to become a respected leader in the pharmaceutical logistics industry. Today, operations include nine GMP facilities in Florida, Ohio, New Jersey, Texas and Nevada with over 650,000 square feet of capacity and over 200 employees.
Certifications and Accreditations
WDSrx conforms to cGMP/cGDP guidelines according to the Code of Federal Regulations 21 CFR 210/211 for handling and distribution of finished pharmaceutical products. State-licensed nationally, WDSrx is also DSCSA-compliant and meets cGMP, FDA, ISO, and EPA guidelines for prescription and over-the-counter medications. Each GMP facility is registered with the FDA as Medical Drug Establishments. Several locations are also FDA-licensed for medical devices. Manufacturers of animal health products and dietary supplements appreciate the more rigorous standards maintained at WDSrx to help assure problem-free storage and fulfillment to satisfy informed consumers demanding high-quality handling of premium products.
All WDSrx 3PL warehouse facilities operate within a temperature range of 15-25 degrees Celsius and humidity of 60 percent for Ambient or Controlled Room Temperature operation. Refrigerated storage (2-8 degrees Celsius), Frozen (-20 degrees Celsius) and Deep Frozen (-80 degrees Celsius) storage is also provided.
The WDSrx operations team manages end-to-end movement of raw materials and finished goods within the pharmaceutical supply chain. Our specialized 3PL services includes title model fulfillment, vendor-managed inventory, product launches including PLAIR requests, hazardous goods, and import/export opportunities including Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) and Customs Bonded warehousing.
With over a decade serving clients as a pharmaceutical logistics service provider, WDSrx manages multiple distribution and fulfillment channels with pallet-in/out and pick/pack/ship services. Each distribution mode requires specialized knowledge carried out by experienced technicians and must conform to specific licensing and regulatory requirements. WDSrx fulfills conventional and also e-commerce orders to wholesalers, distribution centers, hospitals and institutions, pharmacies, manufacturers, Direct-to-Practitioner, Direct-to-Consumer and in some cases Direct-to-Patient.
Standard timeframes for inbound and outbound orders are normally by the end of the next business day for product receipt and also product fulfillment. These timetables are flexible based on client requirements for special services. Our Datex Warehouse Management System allocates lots according to First Expiration First Out (FEFO) Basis and accounts for lot expiration and when each lot was received into the 3PL warehouse facility. Other picking methods (FIFO) may be utilized based on requirements.
Real-time access to inventory status is visible to clients with access to a secure online web portal providing custom reports and complete visibility to orders, shipments, inventory and other variables. The web portal is accessed securely through a web browser. Available any time to authorized users, the portal also monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for Quality, Inbound and Outbound warehouse operations. Separate reports detail pending orders and backorders including customer, product, quantity, order date, and value by product by order and summarized by product and by customer.
As a Third Party Logistics service provider, product ownership remains with the client while in WDSrx possession. WDSrx maintains insurance policies with sufficient coverage for Workers’ Compensation and Employers Liability, Commercial General Liability, Automobile Liability, Umbrella Liability and Product Liability.
In each existing GMP facility and in every new location, normal operations rely on material handling equipment, racking and storage solutions to satisfy several handling and storage requirements. WDSrx owns and maintains a fleet of forklifts, reach trucks, counterbalances, pallet jacks and other equipment at every location. Warehouse technicians are certified to operate each piece of equipment and are safety-rated at regular intervals. The ability of WDSrx to scale operations to meet shifting client demands is built into our operating procedures with immediate access to additional equipment and supplemental labor and other resources.
WDSrx uses industry-leading technology to enable clients to efficiently achieve business goals. Our robust Information Technology infrastructure provides flexibility to integrate seamlessly with multiple client hardware and software systems including RFP, EDI, E-commerce and financial management programs.
Collaboration with clients helps direct WDSrx business strategy, with certain decisions being made in anticipation of future business resulting from industry trends and best practices.
