WDSrx+ Is HBO For Fans of Pharmaceutical Logistics
Like an ancient Greek temple that uses strong pillars and columns in their design, several important business components support the mission of WDSrx. These components, known as Standards and Practices, require constant adherence by WDSrx employees to streamline the supply chain between treatments and patients.
Standards and practices form the foundation of reputable pharmaceutical logistics services providers and include Safety and Security, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliance, Culture, DSCSA Serialization programs, Inventory Management, Service Level Agreements with Key Performance Indicators, Controlled Substances monitoring and Sustainability initiatives. To emphasize these functions, WDSrx recently embarked on production of a new video series explaining how each of these components operates within our company.
“The on-time shipment of orders is a vital metric at WDSrx, but successful results depend on constant application of several practices that enable our business to function effectively for clients,” according to WDSrx President Adam Runsdorf.
The first four installments of the series are now available on the WDSrx Youtube channel. They cover Regulatory Compliance, Quality Assurance, Safety and Security and Culture.
The government and other regulatory authorities set strict guidelines that must be adhered to in order to handle and distribute medications. Effective regulatory compliance is an important priority since it directly correlates to better risk management.
At WDSrx, regulatory compliance includes maintaining current licensing with each State requiring registration and also with national organizations and Federal government agencies. Strict rules compliance is also required for specific services including government pricing programs, chargeback processing administration, product sampling programs and Controlled Substances ordering and monitoring.
Quality Assurance develops, maintains and improves processes to minimize defects prior to distribution. Good quality management is described as serving the customer’s needs, designing products with no errors, and addressing any potential improvements for the future. It also includes lowering costs without losing the value of the quality
The QA team at WDSrx is managed by Quality Assurance manager Amy Dattolo. Amy oversees procedures that help assure efficiency as directed by government authorities and by clients. These activities include regular training on our cloud-based system to review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), supervision of projects within our packaging and labeling department, managing the Quality System and assuring proper operation within the WDSrx network of seven warehouse locations.
Safety and Security
Clients trust WDSrx to safely and securely receive, store, and fulfill orders of pharmaceutical materials. Making sure packages get delivered on time and in good condition maintains strong relationships with customers.
WDSrx accomplishes this goal by comprehensive monitoring of all facilities for fire, break-in, temperature, humidity and motion. Access within each facility is limited to protect inventory. Controlled Substances are placed inside locked vaults and cages with 24 hour video surveillance. Entering and exiting the facilities is regulated by card access.
This video discusses the factors distinguishing WDSrx within the pharmaceutical logistics industry. Culture is a focus at WDSrx because it helps everyone on our team works towards our company goals.
At WDSrx, we value the entrepreneurial spirit of our President Adam Runsdorf. This attitude supports our team to develop innovative solutions for clients that increase efficiency and productivity. Sustaining a diverse and inclusive workplace is another important aspect of the WDSrx culture. Together these elements set us apart and enable us to increase satisfaction for our clients.
The idea for the video series originated with questions about these topics from pharmaceutical manufacturers. The videos allow manufacturers seeking logistics services to learn more about WDSrx in a convenient platform. They also better inform current clients about the comprehensive elements that enable the movement of pharmaceutical drug products within the supply chain.
New videos will be uploaded as they are completed over the coming months. Conceived by the Marketing team, the videos are shot by WDSrx Content Specialist Meli Gallego.
WDSrx currently has 7 facilities located in Florida (Boca Raton and Pompano Beach), Texas (Sugar Land), New Jersey (Dayton) and Ohio (Lockbourne).
