The corporate culture of WDSrx begins in 2010 when the company was founded in Boca Raton, Florida with a single client and three employees operating in one portion of a pharmaceutical warehouse facility.
When the company started, it was easy to make sure everyone was aware of business policies, procedures and news. All that was necessary was to make an announcement that could be heard across the warehouse floor.
Today, with approximately 200 employees at seven facilities spanning over 450,000 square feet in four States, assuring everyone is informed about important company developments is more difficult compared with the early days. And the stakes are high because sharing information effectively increases efficiency and helps minimize errors.
In an effort to create a central hub for news and information relevant to the WDSrx team, a new “Culture and Careers” page launched recently on the WDSrx website at www.wdsrx.com/about/careers.
In addition to reaching out using our company email system and by displaying flyers and posters on boards in each warehouse, the Culture and Careers area can be accessed any time for the latest news and information about work at WDSrx. Updated regularly by the Human Resources and Marketing departments, the interactive content showcases news about our company for employees and any interested parties who want to learn more about our goals and ideals.
Organized to display all information clearly in one place, the area is divided into nine sections. Several areas focus on company news including available positions, employee recognition, charitable and community initiatives. In a departure from standard employee information sites, the Culture and Careers section also provides professional development guidance and displays selected warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for inbound, outbound and quality metrics. Employees entering a password-protected area from the page have access to current human resources materials including the employee handbook, company forms, online SOP training and videos.
The Culture and Careers page was developed to keep the WDSrx team informed about important news,” states WDSrx Human Resources Manager Stephanie Saavedra. “But it also addresses non-employees, clients and others interested in an online experience that reflects who we are and projects our passion for our important work.”
