Keeping Up With WDSrx: March 2020 News Highlights

New policies, equipment and infrastructure upgrades, additional capabilities, programs, event participation and other logistics news items are highlighted each month to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to client satisfaction.

 

RISING UP 

According to WDSrx President Adam Runsdorf, attitude and attendance are important qualities for every employee. These attributes were recognized in several temporary employees who were recently promoted to full-time positions. Sandra, Claudia, Ana and Orfa are new members of the full-time production team at our Boca Raton headquarters.  Sandra, Claudia, Production Manager Edwin and Ana appear in the above photo. And Micah, Elizabeth and Sheila are now working full-time as a warehouse technicians at our Lockbourne, Ohio facility. Congratulations!

ANOTHER GREAT HIRE

At our Lockbourne, Ohio facility, a new Account Representative was hired to maintain a high level of client satisfaction. Welcome Kade Davis to the WDSrx team! This position recognizes the growth in account activity at our newest location in Central Ohio.

TOP SHAPE FROM TOP TO BOTTOM

Every inch of the 72,000 square foot expanse is being re-roofed at our headquarters location in Boca Raton, Florida to maintain high standards for pharmaceutical warehousing and distribution. The new roof will be finished with a white reflective coating to minimize heat absorption on the exterior and reduce air conditioning requirements in the warehouse.

POSITIVE ENERGY

A large on-site generator installed at our Pompano Beach Florida facility maintains sufficient power for normal operation over one week during disasters and other emergencies.

LIGHTS POWERED BY EXPIRED MEDICATIONS

In other logistics news, WDSrx Reverse Logistics Manager Bryan Flores supervised the regulatory compliant destruction of medications at a ‘green’ waste-to-energy facility run by Covanta that powered 17 homes for a full year. Heat generated by the destruction process is converted to electricity that returns to the local area power grid.
